These beautiful cutting boards are handmade in Pullman, Washington. They are perfect for adding a rustic touch to your kitchen, whether it be as a cutting board that will last decades, or as a elegant serving platter to present food on.
The Journey:
All wood for these cutting boards is reclaimed from a old, partially destroyed barn on the Palouse. The wood is then removed of all nails and bolts and is stored for later use. From there we transport the wood to our wood shop where the dust and dirt is cleaned off. Then the wood is cut and glued multiple times to show off the end grain, and finally it is sanded, buffed, and stained with food grade butcher block conditioner. In a heap of what most people might think of as trash these unique cutting boards emerged and now they will spend the next stage of their life in your home.
None of these cutting boards are the same. Grain and color varies with each board.

This breadboard created by Asher Cousins is more unique and beautiful than I imagined! The wood is salvaged from an old barn in Colfax, WA, and has character and interest, especially the wood grain. The breadboard is sturdy and functional and would make a lovely gift.
